December – Mall of America is a buzz with happy holiday shoppers, looking for the perfect gifts and snatching up the bargains in over 520 stores, tax-free on clothing and shoes of course! The holiday décor is a must see, from the four-story decorated holiday trees, to the holiday-themed Nickelodeon Universe, where guests will find Santa Clause and the opportunity to have their picture taken with him. The Holiday Music Festival at Mall of America fills the hallways with songs of the season and holiday cheer.

JanuaryWinter Fete in Bloomington is an all-encompassing, family-friendly celebration of everything winter. Come experience everything from the Nordic Ski Jump competition, Broomball hockey and skating on many of the open rinks throughout the city and ice fishing opportunities.

February – Minnesota Wild Hockey and Minnesota Timberwolves Basketball are in full swing and drawing crowds of excited fans to each and every game. Come be part of the excitement. Be sure to pick up the latest gear at Mall of America before heading to the games.

March – With the feeling of Spring in the air, thoughts change from winter coats and boots to dresses and sandals. Head to Mall of America for the latest Spring fashions and be sure to head down the bunny trail to have your photo snapped with the Easter Bunny at Mall of America.

April – With Spring in full swing, the Minnesota Zoo showcases Farm Babies, the adorably cute event of the year at the Zoo. Baby chicks, piglets, lambs, calves, goat kids, bunnies and ducklings are all waiting to see you at the farm.

May – The Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure at Mall of America takes place on Mother’s Day, to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. One of the largest events in the country annually, Race for the Cure draws tens of thousands participants, in a sea of pink, supporting loved ones and friends fighting breast cancer. A must see while traveling in Minnesota in early May.

June – More than 300 artists, spanning every medium of art, become part of the Edina Art Fair, the second largest art fair in Minnesota.

July – The official kick off to Summer in Bloomington, Summer Fete celebrates Independence Day with fun and flair on July 3rd. See the fireworks at dusk and enjoy a great lineup of musical entertainment throughout the day.

August – The Great Minnesota Get-Together, the Minnesota State Fair takes place the two weeks leading up to Memorial Day. Sample delicacies on a stick, shop the latest must-have household products and take in a national recording star in concert at the Grandstand. The Minnesota Renaissance Festival takes place until the end of September, with period costumes, jousting, live entertainment and shopping galore at artisan booths.

September –September is full of fun things to see and do, so make your way to us! Iron Girl Women’s Duathlon is a 2 mile run, 22 mile bike ride, 2 mile run for women only in Bloomington. ScrapFest brings the most avid scrappers and card makers to Mall of America for 3 days of nothing but crafting. A must do, you will take home many projects to remember your time in Bloomington.

October – Known for its Halloween thrills and chills, the month of October is filled with frights and delights across the Twin Cities. Check out Blackout in Nickelodeon Universe towards the end of October, with rides and activities all with a spooky theme and the World’s Largest Indoor Trick or Treating inside Mall of America on Halloween night.

November – The night after Thanksgiving, at midnight, the stores are alive with Black Friday shopping inside Mall of America. Eager to get the best bargains of the holiday season, thousands of shoppers converge on Mall of America to spend the early morning hours making their way through 520 stores to get that jump start on their holiday shopping lists.
