Day 1
Welcome to Bloomington! After a narly car ride with the kids, we know you’ll want to get settled. Check into one of our 39 hotels and take advantage of one of the special packages in the area and get refreshed for the rest of the day. There is so much to see, make sure you put on some good walking shoes!

Mall of America has to be the highlight of Bloomington that we know is a must see. Make sure to spend the rest of the afternoon shopping and walking the Mall. There are so many hidden attractions like Moose Mountain, The Escape Game, or FlyOver America that seeing all there is to offer will help you know what are your “must do’s” for the rest of your trip! Squeeze in that game of mini golf before dinner and you’ll be par for the course!

Celebrate the start of your getaway with a meal on the patio of Cedar + Stone, Urban Table. Their farm fresh, elevated meals in a luxurious atmosphere will immediately make you say, “ahhh… vacation…”

If fancy food isn’t your thing, then explore the Hidden Gem’s of Bloomington. You will never go wrong with these options.

Day 2

You’ve gotten your initial itch to shop out so now you’re ready to explore all the outdoor activities Bloomington has to offer. Start the day with a sunrise hike at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. One of only 14 Regional Priority Urban Wildlife Refuges in the nation. Then head to Mugshots Coffee Company for a cup of Joe and a taste of our town-charm to really start your day on the right foot.

Now that your energy level is up, it’s a great time to go biking around Bloomington. Minnesota has long been known as a haven for cyclists. The Minnesota State Trails system runs for miles all over the state. Here in Bloomington, our paved, dirt trails and network of on-street bike lanes beckon bikers looking for fun on two wheels. With a small, picturesque lake that is unencumbered by the motorboats of larger lakes, you will find peace and tranquility. A perfect place for a picnic. Or head to back to the hotel, freshen up and have a nice meal at Lela located within the Sheraton hotel. Their atmosphere, fresh pasta and large meatballs are to die for.

If biking isn’t your thing, hit the water and rent a canoe, kayak, stand-up paddle board or paddle boat with the Three Rivers Park watercraft rental shop. Then hit Hyland lake! Picnic at Normandale Lake (within walking distance) and Lela options afterwards for dinner still apply.

None of this outdoorsy stuff fit your fancy? Take a walking tour of the public art in the South Loop instead! Whatever you choose to do, just know that the outdoors in Bloomington are beautiful!

Day 3

On your last day in Bloomington, take on some big attractions at Mall of America to make those lasting memories! Enjoy breakfast at your hotel then head on over to SEA LIFE at Mall of America.

You will feel like you are diving deep into the ocean with marine creatures of all kinds. Be wowed by the sharks and see your familiar friends, the Clown Fish and the Blue Tang. The little ones will have fun too with the hands on learning in the Rockpool.

Enjoy some thrilling rides for an afternoon at Nickelodeon Universe. The Mall of America and Nickelodeon Universe is dedicated to your safety by creating a new mobile app system which will hold your place in line so you never feel too close for comfort to other parties.

Finally, close out your last day with some night time fun at The Fair on 4, Mall of America’s newest attraction. With go-karts, hammerschlogen, axe throwing and tasty state fair inspired foods and beverages, it will for sure be a place to end your getaway with a bang.
