A play about a play, Sally and Tom will make its world premiere at the Guthrie Theatre this fall. Playwright Luce writes a script about the complex relationship between Sally Hemings and Thomas Jefferson, then partners with her longtime collaborator and lover Mike to direct the play. Luce and Mike eventually find themselves at odds and completely entangled in Sally and Tom’s story.
