Baseball fans can step up to the plate with legendary player Dave Winfield during a special book event at Mall of America®. Celebrating the release of his new memoir, Touching All the Bases: A Story of Power, Purpose, and Surviving the Bronx, the book shares stories from his remarkable career that shaped his life both on and off the field.
A Minnesota native, Winfield is a 12-time All-Star, World Series champion and member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. He spent 22 seasons in the major leagues, including with the San Diego Padres, New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins. Before turning pro, he was a standout two-sport collegiate athlete, Big Ten champion and All-American baseball player. He remains the only athlete ever drafted by four professional sports leagues: MLB, the NBA, the ABA and the NFL. Beyond baseball, Winfield has dedicated decades to philanthropy and advocating for professional athletes, including founding the David M. Winfield Foundation in 1977.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet Winfield at an exclusive book signing. Autographs will be limited to books; memorabilia will not be signed.
