Sometimes the hardest decision in life is how far you’re willing to go for dinner. I could have taken the lazy route—strolling down the street for a quick bite—but I decided to spice things up with a trip to the suburbs. My prize for venturing out? Willy McCoy’s, a local gem known for its 95-cent wings and 2-for-1 drinks.

The Vibe Check
When I walked in, the place was buzzing with laughter . The night was just too perfect to sit inside, so I headed up to their second-floor patio. Spacious. Breezy. And, best of all, no sardine seating. Plenty of room to relax without accidentally joining someone else’s conversation.

The Eats
I kicked things off with the Poppy Seed Pecan Salad with grilled salmon—fresh, nutty, and exactly what I was expecting. Then came the Nashville Hot Wings, which packed a punch… of salt. A little too heavy-handed on the seasoning for me, but if you like bold, salty flavors, you’d probably love them.

Now, let’s talk about the Grande Nachos—and yes, “Grande” is an understatement. This mountain of tortilla chips could feed five people comfortably. They were tasty, but I found myself wishing for more sauce and cheese to pull the whole fiesta together.

A special shout-out to my server—fast, attentive, and one step ahead the entire night. Drinks refilled? Check. Food delivered hot? Check. That rare combination of efficiency and friendliness? Double check.

Final Verdict
Willy McCoy’s is exactly what you want from a neighborhood pub—generous portions, a fun crowd, and a patio that practically demands a sunset cocktail. Sure, the food had its highs and lows, but between the drinks, atmosphere, and stellar service, it’s a solid spot for a casual night out.

Would I go back? Oh, you bet. Next time, I’ll just be trying a different wing flavor.

We ordered Blue cow sandwiches, garlic cheese wings, cheese curds and street taco for dinner. Blue Cow’s is hands down delicious! Great choice with garlic cheese and cheese curds too. Tacos were good and portion large. Service was excellent. We noticed it’s a kid friendly restaurant. Definitely enjoyed the meal and be returning soon with kiddos.

My taco salad was really good! Great location, lots of parking. The greatest part is they have 2 for 1’s on certain drinks all day every day!

We liked the western vibe and the seating is very accommodating. The 2 for 1 beer deal is killer but we didn’t understand it and ended up with double beers. Oh well, there are worse things.

We didn’t get a lot of food but would need to visit again and try eating entrees.

The place was PACKED and wait for a table was over an hour but the servers never lost their smiles! All you can eat fish fry Friday was a great deal. Fish could have used a little salt but batter was light and it was perfectly cooked. Club sandwich had good quality ingredients and was perfectly toasted. Two for one beers rounded out a Good Friday night!

My family came to the area for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and we had this place recommended by one of the locals. Food was absolutely delicious and service was great! Every plate on the table was executed so well and everyone had to try a bit of everything. Timing was great and not much of a wait time to get a table. My boyfriend loved their philly cheesesteak and was surprised that it was two burger patties with cheesesteak in between the patties.

We had a good time here. Patio was nice on a beautiful day. Service was decent, and the food and drinks were good. It all met my expectations. We had the classic club and firecracker burger, and both were good. Fries were crispy. The live music on the patio was awesome. Overall a great casual hang out spot.
