Highly recommend!
Service was great. My waitress was friendly, attentive and helpful
Atmosphere was very nice!
Food: delicious! Minnesota wild rice and corn chowder was great. Definitely recommend as an appetizer. Baked spaghetti was good. And banana cream pie was worth it.
We visited for lunch on a Thursday. The pub-style dark woods and mood lighting make this place feel like a refuge from the bustle and glare of the outer wall. Service was fantastic. I enjoyed a cider from Sweetland Orchard while my husband had a Twin City Amber. The cheese curds were delicious, perfectly hot with a nice cheese pull, and served in a fun cup. I had one of the current specials, the asparagus and goat cheese flat bread, while my husband had the fish fry. Everything was delicious. This was a restaurant I’d gladly visit again!
First time dining in here, we started with the cheese curds which were a 10/10. The New York strip was so good and cooked perfect, I really enjoyed the broth they serve with the steak. The mashed potatoes were super buttery & delicious and I also really liked the Mac & Cheese with bacon it could’ve just used a little bit more sauce. The service was good and quick. We would definitely return!
Another wonderful meal. We love this restaurant. The only negative i could say is that the salad came out like a minute before the meal but otherwise the meal was delicious. I love that they have a gluten free menu. I got to try the gluten free bead at the beginning of the meal which was really tasty. I’m just thrilled when a dining establishment accommodates my dietary restriction and allows me to feel a part of the normal experience. The local cider beer was nice and my significant other enjoyed his Manhatten. We finished with a wonderful creme Brule which was prepared perfectly. The ribs fell off the bone and were incredibly tender. My significant other had the north woods fish fry and said it was good even though the coating was different this time (not as crisp). The staff was friendly. This is one of the best establishments in the mall.
The St Paul Chopped salad is a favorite! The perfect amount of chicken, pasta, bacon, tomatoes, blue cheese and scallions. I remember a similar salad they used to have at Tucci Benucch that was very similar and I’ve missed dearly.
Jacob was a really good server, location and setting was good. Walleye sandwich, which is supposedly one of their best dishes did not live up to the hype. The bun was stale, the whole meal was cold, and the french fries were also cold. My daughter had the chicken dish which was good and the clam chowder was decent.
The cheese curds were solid.
Restaurant wasn’t too busy when we visited for dinner and we felt the service was prompt and friendly. The Roast Turkey dinner was excellent. I wasn’t a fan of the Baked Spaghetti – it was a bit dry/hard. Overall good experience and this restaurant was a convenient full service option at the mall.
Our only complaint was that the waiters did not tell us about the specials, one of which my wife would have preferred over what she ordered. So make sure you ask for the specials if not told.
I would definitely suggest/recommend this place.
