Food was excellent! We had the Mexican burger, the outback burger, and the frickles. Everything was tasty, and it came out very quickly. Atmosphere was comfortable and laid back, and clean. Service was attentive and prompt. Would definitely recommend!
Fast, clean, large portions, & low prices. Food was tasty especially for the price. Service was friendly and very accommodating. Diner was very clean. Great hole in the wall. Will be back.
My family and I were in town for a wedding and my birthday and I wanted to eat at a unique restaurant. I chose Shantytown Grill and was thrilled with the choice. The appetizers, patty melt and dessert were delicious. Everyone was satisfied and full when we left. We really appreciated, Pandora, our server. She was amazing and did a great job helping accommodate my son’s food allergy. I will recommend everyone in the Bloomington area to check out this hidden gem. Hope to be back again some day in the future.
If there were more then 5 stars to give we would! Absolutely amazing food, staff and so quick! We were on our way thru town and live 4 hrs away and trying to figure out how and when to go back! Don’t change a thing!
I love this place, plain and simple. I have been here three times with a different server/bartender each time and all of them have been personable, friendly, and helpful. The patty melt is great, and the onion rings are done perfectly. Drinks come out quick, even with larger groups.
Really good place. I ordered the Shanty burger which had cheddar and Swiss cheese along with crispy bacon and guacamole. The overall burger was really great with the only lackluster component being the guacamole. This the kind of place where you get a bacon cheeseburger and it’s solid. Moreover, the service was outstanding. Our waiter was fun & quirky and made it a great experience. Despite it being a small place, the Christmas lights on the ceiling made it seem really homely. I would definitely come back.

We didn’t love the sides, but the drink of the week for $5 was a nice surprise!
Loved the vibe and we’ll look forward to going back!
