I stopped in for the first time because I had a business meeting, and the person I was meeting with was in the mood for Thai food—so we decided to give Sawatdee a shot. Our server, Daija, greeted us with a warm smile and was super helpful. She even helped my guest figure out the name of a dish she couldn’t quite remember. I went with the Thai salmon fillet, and my guest ordered the Rama Thai Delight.
It wasn’t too busy when we arrived, but it picked up not long after. Even with more tables filling up, Daija stayed on top of everything and continued to give us great service. The food was just a bit salty for my taste, but other than that, everything else hit the mark. The restaurant was clean, the portions were generous, there were plenty of menu options, and parking wasn’t an issue. Overall, a solid experience—I’d definitely go back.
Sawatdee offers amazing food and excellent service. We ordered the Pad Thai and Yellow Curry Rice—both were phenomenal. The curry had a sweet flavor with just the right kick, while the Pad Thai came in a larger portion than expected and was perfectly spicy, flavorful, and not oily. The Mango Sticky Rice was also outstanding.
I’m from New York and went to this restaurant in the Bloomington area. When greeted to waitress was dressed in an authentic Thai dress. Absolutely stunning. I ordered the pork wonton soup. Excellent. The flavors from the broth to the wontons complimented each other. I also order the beef ginger stir fry. Wonderful. The portions are large so I was offered a box. I’ll enjoy ot a little later today.
This food was phenomenal. Big portions. This is a simple restaurant with quality food. Plenty of seating. Quick service and they were quick to customize my order when I requested changes. I will definitely be back. Also have a lunch brunch for about $18 Monday – Friday that I can’t wait to try on my lunch break.
Stopped for lunch with my daughter. We ordered; roasted duck curry (mild), Tom yum ( level 3 spice) and for dessert- mango sticky rice. Food was delish, service was top notch. Just the right amount of spice for each of us. We will be back!
Great food and great service. I came here for dinner with a friend and I got the chicken wings. They were perfectly cooked and were amazing with and without the sauce. We will definitely be coming back.
I’m from out of town and wasn’t sure what to get for dinner. Passing by and the idea of Thai food sounded good.
I ordered beef pad Thai and the fresh spring rolls, very yummy! Got medium spicy for the pad Thai and it is quite spicy in the good way! (I also later on added some of their hot sauce, still can handle it…spicy in the good way ❤️)So so so glad I found a spot for next business trip here!
