Came for the Walleye Fishfry and wasn’t disappointed. Fresh fish freshly fried – delish! We also had the Walleye Fish Sandwich- also excellent. Good service. Fine ambience if you like wood paneled walls and old time feel.
Our waiter was great, 5 stars for him ✨!
But the taller/younger host up front was quite snooty and kind of rude to the other host and us. He was polite, but like in a he had to be nice attitude.
It rubbed us the wrong way.
I liked the atmosphere.
My husband had the beef stroganoff and he said it’s fantastic.
I got the Coconut Shrimp, it was good, but not the best I’ve had.
The fries were extremely bland without their salt and vinegar seasoning, I don’t recommend.
This place had a lot of people recommending it, but I feel like it was underwhelming.

Best food we have had in a long time. Had the blue cheese crusted medallions with loaded mashed potatoes, perfectly cooked, well done, Baja burger, and smokehouse chicken, all amazing! Finished with the key lime pie, which finished the perfect meal.
Mediterranean salmon salad was great. Dressing was delicious and salmon was moist and nicely seasoned. Could have had more generous toppings as there were only 3 slices of cucumbers, 3 tomatoes, and 3 olives on the large salad.
Old fashioned burger was tasty and Cole slaw was fresh. “Famous” salt and vinegar fries were bland and disappointing. Would get a different side next time.
Food was delicious and our server Aaron was very attentive and informative on the menu! We had cheese curds, flatbread artichoke and spinach, pan seared chicken and beef stroganoff. So yummy we will come back again!
Wonderful service highlighting MN cuisine and hospitality. Almond crusted Walleye wasn’t as expected- a little dry- so our water promptly replaced it with the fish fry. And their homemade tartar sauce is the perfect compliment. Cesar salad and the must have mashed potatoes. Wonderful highlight to our trip!
I really enjoyed the salt and vinegar fries. They are something you don’t get everyday. Bread was very nice. And the Baja burger was pretty good. Service was smooth, and everything went well!
We visited for lunch on a Thursday. The pub-style dark woods and mood lighting make this place feel like a refuge from the bustle and glare of the outer wall. Service was fantastic. I enjoyed a cider from Sweetland Orchard while my husband had a Twin City Amber. The cheese curds were delicious, perfectly hot with a nice cheese pull, and served in a fun cup. I had one of the current specials, the asparagus and goat cheese flat bread, while my husband had the fish fry. Everything was delicious. This was a restaurant I’d gladly visit again!
