Check out these top bars in Bloomington to catch a game
If you'd like to watch the game from the comfort of a bar stool, read on for our suggestions for the best sports bars and restaurants in the metro to get your game face on.
GameWorks Mall of America. Photo by Joe Lemke. If you’re in the vicinity of our beloved Mall of America®, there are many spots within the mall’s four levels to try out. Our favorites include Hard Rock Café, GameWorks®, Cadillac Ranch, Cowboy Jack's, CRAVE, and Dick's Last Resort, many with game day specials for drinks and food.
Don’t fret, however, should the mall fill up as quickly as it usually does. Bloomington has more than 40 hotels, many of which offer outstanding bar menus featuring typical light fare, yet hefty craft brew and cocktail lists. Some of our favorites include FireLake Grill House & Cocktail Bar in Radisson Blu Mall of America, Bar Urbana at Hyatt Regency Bloomington-Minneapolis, AC Lounge at AC Hotel Bloomington Mall of America, and Onyx Bar at Holiday Inn Bloomington West MSP Airport Area.
If you're staying at a hotel, look no further than the Interstate-494 strip that flanks Bloomington’s northern perimeter and runs east/west along the full stretch of the city. Starting on the far west side and moving east, you’ll find ample sports bars with a variety of specialties. Some of our faves include Ike's Food & Cocktails, Poor Richard’s Commonhouse, Joe Senser’s Kitchen & Bar, Cowboy Jack’s, Lucky’s 13 Pub, Willy McCoy’s, Shantytown Grill, and Sports Page.
With North America’s largest entertainment and shopping complex, 40-plus hotels and ample bars for every patron, you’re sure to find a spot to perch and take in a favorite sporting event.
