SEA LIFE at Mall of America

We went there last weekend and it was pretty fun. The best part was walking through the tunnel and seeing all the water life above you around you. The kids loved it! I think the only downside was the ending where you could touch the things in the water…. all of the starfish were on one side so none of the kids could touch them. The worker gave everyone in option to touch a dried out starfish. Just not the same. So if it’s ever possible can you add more things for the kids to touch? Otherwise it was fun 😀

Amazing experience! It’s really great value and honestly one of the cleanest aquariums i have ever visited. The water is pristine, and all of the aquatic life is clearly visible. Really enjoyed the experience and would most assuredly come back again if I’m ever in Minnesota in the future.

A truly phenomenal aquarium to visit. It’s not a huge aquarium by any means but what it does have is this long underwater tunnel. It absolutely makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. I don’t remember how long that tunnel was but it felt like I was in there for hours, there’s so much to see.

Always super fun! My girlfriend and I returned after having both been last around 2015 for seperate school trips. Every exhibit was awesome, the facilities were very nice, and the guest service was excellent. Particularly, the girls working at the gift shop were very kind and patient with my wonky debit card and its issues. Would love to come back next time i’m in the area!

Sea life was great! A little overpriced in my opinion but what isn’t these days? I highly recommend getting tickets in advance, you can normally get better deals and bundle. We got there right at 10am on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy! Staff were friendly and it was clean. Make sure you go to the bathroom before you start because there isn’t another until the end. My 7 year old had a blast and it was really the perfect way to start the day. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

This aquarium was fairly small. The tunnel was easily the coolest part but since the whole path through isn’t super wide it always felt like we were in someone’s way and had to move. It seemed accessible as there were people in wheel chairs inside, but at the entrance the jungle area has a pretty thin walkway. There were lots of opportunities for kids to into a little dome and get a different perspective of the enclosure which was fun. Most of them were dark so one of my kids didn’t want to go inside.

The sea horses were fun as there were 3 or 4 areas to look at them and they seem to get bigger in each enclosure.

It’s an exit through the gift shop aquarium and the gift shop felt longer than some of the exhibits.

I read the reviews prior to going and the statement about the starfish in the touch pool all hiding just out of reach was still accurate. There were some mussels (?) We could reach, but my 6 year old just wanted to touch a star fish. Not sure why they dont move them when they’re the only thing of interest for a lot of the kids.

We did the little vr experience where you pick one and learn about an animal and the seat rocks you a little. It was nice to get off our feet for a few minutes doing this.

Seeing the green sawfish was so cool! I’ve never heard of them before so when it swam near us it was a bit of a jump scare seeing something like that. It surprisingly scared my 7 year old because they thought it looked like a monster and after they dragged me through the aquarium trying to get out.

Enjoyed walking through & seeing different animals. Not sure if the croc was alive because it wasn’t moving. Shark tank was cool, although I didn’t expect for my eyes to hurt as much as they did walking through the tunnel. There were facts about each animal as you went by so it was educational. There was a section where you can touch some sea creatures & one where you can feed stringrays and other fish, which was neat. All the sea creatures didn’t seem as alive as they could be, but its likely the small space they have in the water. Cool experience but also sad. Price is cheaper if you book ahead of time.

We drove 7 hrs to come to Sea Life and it was all and above our expectations. AMAZING! Our favorite part was the tunnel top and being able to walk through and see under all the sharks etc. The jellyfish exhibit was beautiful. We fed shrimp to the stingray and touched sea urchins and man that water was cold lol. Fun for the whole family. Well worth the drive and unlimited trips through, for the day. We got our family photo at the end.
