This is a wonderful hands on interactive science museum with so many fun places for kids and adults to learn. The IMAX movie was fantastic. Dinosaurs and the human body exhibits were excellent. Have a nice lunch on the Mississippi River.
Worth the visit!
Family of 4 (including 15yo & 10yo) spent 3 hours here and truthfully could have easily spent 4 hours covering the 3 floors of hands on fun.
* get tickets ahead of time and avoid the entrance bottleneck
* we paid $19 to park next door in river view parking lot.

TONS of activities for all ages to engage your mind and lots of exhibits to see. There are even musical stairs – that was super neat! Dinosaur exhibit, sports activity section, old-time gadget section, shells, tug boat, weather station, … oh, and make your own tv news broadcast – that was a comical blast!!! – – and so much more. Spent the entire afternoon here & finished with a movie. Parking was safe & easy. Highly recommend.
Great Museum for everyone (kids & adults) in Twin cities area! I definitely recommend to visit it. You can find something interesting and new for you.
For me it’s not so brand new and highly technical, but it’s very interactive anyway.
Great discounts if you have MFIP or SNAP cards of Minnesota.
Several floors. Spent quite a while getting lost in the amazing exhibits! Highly recommend! Will definitely come again!
As a Science Major and someone who works in Science this is my hub. I brought my kiddos for some science exposure. The storm and water show were amazing. I got to see lightning form…how cool is that! We hit the Omnitheater and the movie was insightful..I learned so much about the Ocean animals.
The museum has a variety of areas to nurture your mind’s curiosity.
Did I mention the gorgeous view of the river!
Lots of bathrooms and drinking fountains.
Paid parking is available.
I couldn’t help myself and I signed up for the membership for future events.

I’ve visited the museum a few times over the past 16 years. They have great exhibits for all ages. This time, we particularly enjoyed the Omni theater presentation on the blue whales. My 14 year old son wanted to visit the museum for his birthday this year.
Would have been nice to visit the entire facility. Arrived mid afternoon and all of the events that we wanted to check out were over for the day. That being said, why would I want to pay forty dollars and only get half of what you have to offer? The price of admission should reflect your available offerings. Friendly staff, and cozy environment. Street meter and garage parking available.
