Had a great time at the Elf movie/live concert. I had to remember to look down multiple times and remember there was a live Orchestra there!! They did such a good job, it sounded like the music blended in right with the movie. Parking was easy and there is a skyway to get to the 2nd floor of Orchestra Hall. Waiting area is very nice and good options for snacks and drinks before the show and during intermission. They also had complimentary lockers (with a key lock included) which was great for our jackets.
Such a thrill to head downtown on a sunny afternoon to attend “Søndergård, Mozart and Stravinsky” at the Minnesota Orchestra.
My first visit since multi-talented Danish conductor Thomas Søndergård became the orchestra’s music director two+ years ago.
German violinist Isabelle Faust also triumphed in her Minnesota Orchestra debut, and the two hour program concluded with stirring works by Joseph Haydn.
We are very fortunate to have such a talented orchestra and beautiful facility in our community.
I wasn’t dreaming of a white Christmas until I saw Tony DeSare and the Minnesota Orchestra this month! What a delight it was to be back in these hallowed halls as an audience member instead of as a performer (my high school performed here in 2009)! I was delighted by the decorations and overall ambiance. The ticket rate was just right ($15 w/ student ID)! 10/10!
The space is unforgettable. The music is fantastic. The conductor is charming and the orchestra is amazing. Unfortunately, they try and sell you tickets like you’re on an American Airlines flight and that’s a huge turn off.
I came for a season sampler that was too good to be true. Just like a time share sales pitch except more pushy and more charming. There was an exceptionally happy hour but then you realize they want you to relax your wallet. Such a disappointment.
We went for the live Harry Potter show. The acoustics for the Orchestra were great. The speakers for the movie we directed straight out so that sounds was less than ideal.
Also the fact that they charge money for the seat that I was in for one of those movie showings was criminal.
My family and I absolutely love the Orchestra Hall! It is so beautiful to hear such an amazing group of musicians/artists perform. We love to experience live music events. You can basically feel the music as they play and it is so beautiful to watch how the instrument and the musician almost become one. It is like an extension of themselves. It makes me emotional every time! Beauty needs to be preserved in our lives and I think going to the Orchestra Hall does that.
The Minnesota Orchestra offers a variety of events that appeals to different crowds. 🎶 They offer season ticket packages so you can max out on the perks too!
Beautiful experience! Highly recommend attending a show with loved ones. Friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Surprisingly comfortable seats. The only negative is that the men’s restroom is on the bottom floor and kind of an inconvenience if you’re in the balcony like we were.
