Nice walk along the creek. The falls are pretty and the park area is well kept with beautiful trees. Parking was busy on a Friday afternoon, but inexpensive and patience paid off.
Beautiful park with space for everyone. The upper park is more formal with a restaurant, paved walking paths, and memorials. The lower park is more native with dirt paths following a flowing river.
Love this waterfall and the park around it. The top view of waterfall is wheelchair accessible. To get to the bottom you have to walk down 109 steps. The area near the falls where you see many pictures of is actually closed off, but many climb it to get close to the waterfall. There is also a nice hiking trail that continues along the river. The whole park is great with playgrounds, wading area, picnic area, bike rental wading pool, flower gardens, old railway station, and more. If you visit waterfall in summer or fall, be prepared to only see little water. There is plenty of paid street parking. $2.50 per hour.
I highly recommend that you go after a rainy spell when allot of water is going over the falls, much more impressive then. I have actually visited it when it was dry, that was no fun.
Awesome park! Great state park. Some of the trails were closed when there but whole area was still accessible. Highly recommend
Pretty hard to find parking on a weekend and it was very busy but it’s always to beautiful to see people come together to share a lovely day at the park. People were barbecuing and having family picnics as well and hiking down to the falls and creek for swimming. Amazing way to spend your Saturday or Sunday afternoon
Minnehaha Falls is such a peaceful and beautiful spot, very easy to get to, There are walking trails, picnic areas, and even places to explore down by the creek. Paid parking is available .
Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Minneapolis—it’s free, refreshing, and great for photos!
Pretty walkways with the peaceful sound of the waterfall. ✌🧘♀️ Go down the stairs for beautiful trails along a gushing river and bridges.
