Great Big Game Show

Such an awesome experience! We went with just us two (competing against each other), and it was so fun. The host was very friendly and exciting, and the games were fun. They give you an option between trivia and non trivia focused. The non trivia one had some simple trivia, which was nice.

Overall, amazing and fun place. It works well with 2 people, but would be even better with a larger group. Also, the experience lasts for an hour,

The Great Big Game Show was so much fun! Loved the creativity. Terrific for family bonding or team building. Our host Rynn was fabulous. Watch out Steve Harvey, she’s coming for your job.

If you want to know what its like to be on a game show, this a must try. We checked it out first and they gave us a behind the scenes tour and explained how it worked. The team was friendly and excited to make a positive experience. We signed up to play the trivia game, and its actually a combination of games you see on TV. We played with some nice people we met there and we had two teams of four. Mia, our host, is fantastic at hosting, and made the games a lot of fun. We had a great time, and if you try this game out, they give you a discount for another game or their neighbor next door, The Escape Room and vice versa. It’s a blast!

Our group of escape room veterans (including The Escape Game located next to this venue at the Mall of America) found this format also appealed to us. While we generally preferred our experiences at Game Show Battle Rooms, we very much enjoyed this as a stand alone event. Definitely a fun time. The wonderful staff who registered our booking (alongside our latest excursion into The Escape Game) was particularly superb, while our host also did a fine job in the arena itself, running the whole thing solo. While all the games were trivia based (unsurprising given the theme we had booked), there was nice variety in how each round played and scored. We had a blast. And while this is a somewhat spendy activity, with a large enough group to fill the available slots, it feels totally worth it. At least as a one-time event. On that point, it is worth noting you may be matched with other people who could book any of the open slots on your experience. We did not have that issue ourselves, but it is worth noting. One final detail that definitely shines through is the folks who run this experience really do care that you have a damn good time. So make that booking and enjoy.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was all smiles and good vibes. Super friendly, super professional, and somehow they didn’t even flinch when we rolled in like a squad of overly competitive tornadoes.

Our host, Amanda. Was funny, energetic, and just the right amount of “I’m watching you, Linda, don’t cheat again.” She kept the energy high and made sure we were laughing the whole time.
