JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America

The JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America is my hotel of choice whenever I am traveling to other states. Even though I live in Minnesota, I always stay here the night before a trip because it makes travel so much easier and more enjoyable. The location is incredibly convenient, the service is top notch, and the overall experience sets the tone for a smooth and stress free travel day.

The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. The beds are excellent for a restful night of sleep, and the bathrooms feel luxurious with high quality finishes and amenities. Even though the hotel is connected to MOA, the rooms are quiet and relaxing, which allows me to fully unwind before heading out on a flight.

The amenities are excellent as well. The lobby and common areas are stylish and inviting, the restaurant and bar always provide great food and drinks, and the fitness center and pool are well maintained. The direct connection to the Mall of America is a huge plus, making it easy to enjoy dining and shopping without needing to drive anywhere.

The staff are what truly make this property stand out. Every stay, they are professional, attentive, and welcoming. They handle everything with care, whether it is a simple request, providing recommendations, or just making sure the check in and check out process is smooth. Their consistency is one of the main reasons I keep coming back.

Overall, the JW Marriott Minneapolis Mall of America is a perfect combination of luxury, convenience, and exceptional service. For me, it has become part of my travel routine, and I could not recommend it more highly for anyone looking for a hotel that delivers both comfort and quality every single time.

Great location, close to the airport, and connected to the mall. The staff was excellent throughout. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The fitness center was expansive with great equipment, ice, water, towels, and fruit. The executive lounge was also an added benefit. The food and beverage was delicious, and the staff was friendly. The hotel restaurant was also superb.

We chose this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Before our stay, we read many reviews that helped us make our decision, so I wanted to share my own experience as well.

The check-in process was perfect, and the welcome tea was a thoughtful and touching gesture. The valet parking service was excellent.

We stayed in an Executive Room and were more than satisfied. The view of planes taking off and landing was absolutely stunning.

Since we were traveling with our child, the hotel’s direct connection to the mall was incredibly convenient. We were also very pleased with the room service and the concierge lounge.

We loved the hotel so much that we’ve already made another reservation. We’re truly looking forward to having another wonderful stay there.

We stayed over a long weekend with our 2-year-old daughter, and the experience was flawless from start to finish. The elite lounge was a standout, with elevated options like crab cakes, smoked salmon, and caprese salad that made us feel genuinely valued.||The gym was outstanding—easily one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel, with plenty of free weights and high-end cardio machines. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and attentive.||The room was immaculately clean, and most impressive of all—it was completely silent. We never heard another guest, which made a huge difference with a toddler in tow.||The location is unbeatable. The hotel connects directly to Mall of America, and we were able to walk straight out a side door into the food court—a total game changer with a small child.||We travel often, and this property truly sets a high bar. We’ll absolutely be returning.

Wonderful hotel. Great experience top to bottom. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet. The rooms are excellent. We had no issue with our late check-out. The hotel is secured and quiet even though it is connected to the mall. The food in the lounge was very nice. The staff there was nice too. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Had a smooth and welcoming check-in experience — the staff was courteous and helpful. The location is absolutely fantastic, with convenient access to key spots. However, the overall stay was disappointing due to the outdated room interiors and extremely uncomfortable beds and pillows. The A/C was not functioning properly, making the nights even more uncomfortable. Room service was also quite limited, especially for vegetarians. This property definitely does not meet the expectations of a JW Marriott category. Needs serious upgrades in comfort and amenities.

Checking into the JW Marriott at Mall of America turned out to be far more complicated than it needed to be. We arrived through the mall, coming off the train, only to find the usual entrance through the restaurant on Level 1 was closed. We were told to try the Level 2 mall entrance instead, but that door required a room key. Without one, we had no way in and had to call the hotel for help. The call went through their automated AI system, which was surprisingly good, but still not ideal when you’re just trying to get someone to let you in. It was frustrating and honestly took away from the arrival experience. For anyone arriving through the mall, especially via public transit, this part needs to be much smoother.

Once we got settled, the stay itself was mostly great. The room was spacious, clean, and worked well for three people. There was a mild musky smell when we first walked in, but it wasn’t overwhelming. The bathroom products were high-end and really added a nice touch. What brought things down again was checkout. When we went to retrieve our luggage from the bellhop, the staff member just stared at us like we didn’t belong there. It was uncomfortable. After spending the kind of money this property charges, you don’t expect to feel out of place. The hotel has a lot going for it, but the access issues and some of the staff interactions just didn’t match the luxury brand it’s trying to represent.

I don’t tend to do reviews but this is the first hotel I stayed where everyone is friendly and helpful.
The servers in the Lounge morning and afternoon always friendly and always helpful. The food in the lounge amazing. I need the tomato cauliflower soup recipe, my twins don’t eat veggies and they loved that soup.

Our housekeeper, Maria she was amazing.
She took care of us above and beyond.
We stayed in room 1430 from July 24-30th 2025
We travel with our twins and they would leave mess after mess and she would always leave the room like new, immaculate like it never happened.

Location was basically inside the mall, food court right above the door.
Everything was spectacular
We are definitely going back!
