Best Western Bloomington Edina – Minneapolis

I stayed at the Best Western hotel in Bloomington for one night and a very positive experience. The check-in process was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a short stay. The price was very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area, which made it a great value.
The location is convenient, with easy access to highways, restaurants, and shopping. parking was free and easy to find. Breakfast was decent and a nice bonus for the price.
Overall, I definitely stay here again for a quick trip to the Twin Cities.

We found this hotel to be average. We stayed three nights. Breakfast was decent, with a variety of offerings such as waffles, bagels and English muffins, sausage and egg dishes. The only breakfast complaints, being completely honest, were that the eggs seemed processed, only kids cereals were offered ( CoCoa Puffs, Trix, and Cheerios), and the fruit was not replenished with fresh daily ( the bananas got browner through the week). The attendant did a good job of keeping things restocked however. The other thing to note: We booked directly through Best Western and the price quoted did not include all the fees we were charged. When I asked the guy at the front desk to clarify why it was different, he couldn’t give me a breakdown. As it turns out, there was an additional occupancy tax added by the hotel that I was able to figure out on our final bill. There were some maintenance issues in the room such as a broken toilet lever, but they were able to fix that. We did hear a lot of noise into the late night from people gathering in the parking lot, and the walls were rather thin so we intermittently heard noise from the halls, the room above, and the neighbors. On the positive side, the lighting in the room was excellent, and there was a refrigerator and microwave available. If you are staying more than one night, please be aware that there is absolutely no housekeeping service. You can ask for more towels or toiletries at the front desk, but otherwise you make your own bed, clean your bathroom counters, and the like. This was the biggest disappointment as there was no mention of this on the website. My thought is that you pay the same price (or in our case even more) per day for the subsequent days so they should be able to provide this service.

I just checked in and was treated very nice. Acknowledging me as Diamond or Platinum and offering water. Room is nice, although a little smaller than normal. Hot tub worked! Exercise room is outstanding. Recommend it and I travel 150 nights a year.

I was a little skeptical about staying at this BW as there are a lot of mixed reviews but I enjoyed my stay. The building is very clean and has a friendly staff. The building is fairly recently remodeled so the rooms are modern and have awesome beds. I can’t say much about the breakfast because I was there Sunday morning and they were out of almost everything so it was sparse. It’s nice though that you can simply go to Denny’s under the same roof. I do recommend staying here.

Good location. Offered good value. It smelled in the area close to the elevator. It was okay in the morning but eventually got worse. I think they are trying to address it by having some purifier device close to it but something is causing the odor to re-appear. Didn’t use the pool area as our eyes burnt from strong chlorine as soon as we opened the door. Room itself was clean and sufficient, even had a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker. Bed was kind of hard but was able to fall asleep easily. Ice maker worked fine in the floor. Very decent continental breakfast. While I expected a bit more from a Best Western for overall cleanliness, it sure provided value for the price paid.

Positive: The breakfast was good. Our ovwrerall stay was great. Hotel employee at the front desk was the best. I had a problem(my own fault) with the end of my reservation and he handled it so well that I’ll be back next year. Give him a raise! Negative: I’ve machines and no freezer in fridge

Pretty good stay overall. Would recommend for a good budget hotel.

Pros:
– Pool was warm, not cold like most hotels. Made swimming way more enjoyable.
– Breakfast was average, on par with similarly priced hotels.
– Rooms were clean, water was hot.
– Staff were accommodating when needed.

Cons:
– Hot tub was barely warmer than the pool.
– Breakfast items/coffee sometimes took a little while to get refilled.
– Room smelled like lemongrass, which normally wouldn’t be a bad thing, but the smell was so strong it was like an entire bottle got dumped out.

Overall was a good stay for the price.
