Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bloomington – Mpls Airport Area W

We were surprised that the airport shuttle turned out to be an Uber ride, which was quicker and more comfortable. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean, but neither of the TVs (smart TVs) were connected to anything, the light in the bathroom flickered and the hideaway couch was pretty worn out. Bed was fine. Breakfast was good, but some of the hot items had not been replenished and never were. There was no batter for the two pancake machines. Plenty of cinnamon rolls, which were tasty, coffee was good. We’d probably stay there again for a night before or after a flight.

This location was VERY nice & 98% of staff was GREAT. 1 gentleman was a but short with me at our check-out (3 am). Only issue is with how hot the living area was in the suite. Whomever designed a fan above a door to blow cool air from bedroom, wasn’t the brightest bulb on the box. We got the sleeping area to about 65°, BUT living area stayed at least 20° hotter. Uncomfortable to say the least.

This was a great stay, needs some minor touch ups, but Breakfast was great and free every day. They have a great selection of items from Eggs, sausage, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Also pancakes, cinnamon rolls and bagels with cream cheese and many toppings for your pancakes or bagels. Excellent breakfast and staff. Weight room, indoor pool and great cleaning staff. I believe it was WELL worth the cost. I am an IHG member and parking was free otherwise it’s $10 a night. Great job Holiday Inn 👍🏼

The reason for the three stars – the hotel was not super clean. The hotel over all was ok, the room was cleaned, but not clean. The bedding was clean and comfortable, the floors appeared to have been wiped but still had dirty corners, the carpet was not clean our socks and feet were dirty after walking around.
The tv reception or connection was horrible, weak or poor connection; or just scrambled tv. When it did work, the channels did not match up with the printed guide. (Not that we stay at hotels to watch tv, it was just frustrating).
The couch looked and felt very used! The hideaway bed, was ok. The bathroom light flickered and buzzed the entire stay. The phone in room did not work.
We were not in the room much, only in the evenings and to sleep. We were traveling with two small children. The layout of the room was perfect for what we needed. Kids had their own space in living room and we had space in bedroom.
The outside entrance door closest to our room was broken, it opened but you could not enter with keycard. There were just some wires hanging in the place where the card reader would be.
The breakfast was not great. There were many options and it was included. The staff did a decent job at keeping things stocked. It was just not very good. Typical continental breakfast, cereal, buffet omelets, microwave bacon, oatmeal, breads, pancakes- the machine broke and ran out of batter every 5-10 mins. The cinnamon rolls were the best part!
Overall, one of these issues would have not been a deal breaker. There were just many little things. The service was fantastic! Although, I won’t stay here again. With a little TLC I’m sure many things could be improved.

Fast check-in, was a charge for parking I did not realize but small and given hanger for the mirror. he bathroom was clean and stocked well. The breakfast was great had a good variety and the staff was keeping item full and fresh!! This was a great value and location. Got a little bag of treats for being a member was a nice surprise.

The beds were very comfortable and the check in and out process was easy! We enjoyed our complimentary breakfast! The staff was very helpful as we needed a crib brought to our room. The staff also were very friendly and pleasant to deal with!
