This was our first time staying and it will not be our last! Such a fun place! Staff was super friendly, willing to answer any questions and help whenever needed. The events through out the days for kids is awesome. The arcade was a place. The food was great! And of course the water park was a hit! Our little one did not want to leave. They have pretty much everything on-site which is nice! Only negative thing I have to say is when our air kicked on I thought someone was trying to break in because it was so loud. As the night/days went on we didn’t notice it much but catches you off guard the first time.
Obviously we come to Gwl for the kids. There’s a lot of stuff for them to do. We know it’s going to be expensive. Everything is cashless. My complaints are mostly about the upkeep of the property. The grounds and parking lot are TRASHED! Which is odd to me because as soon as you walk in there are people all day mopping and sweeping. This really needs to be addressed. The lodge is very close to the Mall of America. I might not take little kids down the side of the road, but our ten year old didn’t mind walking a couple blocks. Another complaint is lack of parking. Fighting to get a spot to park at the place you spent 200$ a night to stay at is absurd. Staff was mostly friendly and smiling. This was a good stay overall. We had a comfortable bed. Quiet room on the top floor.
This place is alright. Water park was a hit with the kids. Could be so much better if everything was an address on fee. You better pack some extra money if you come here, they are not afraid to charge you for it.
Our room could have used a little work, bunk beds made more noise than squeaky toy testing factory, hardly any light in the bunk bed area. For what you pay, they definitely could do better.

Rooms could use some updating and/or maintenance but overall a great place! There were always people cleaning the floors, and every one was so nice and helpful! The water park was great! Food a little pricey but we brought snacks and drinks to our room so that was helpful. We will definitely be back!
The staff were great and very professional especially the Latino guy serving coffee in the morning and the staff helping at the elevators he had on a purple t-shirt, made the experience smooth given all the traffic. Rooms were ok the bed was sinking in a bit need new bedding it hasnโt always been that way we have stayed there previous years definitely needs to be updated now. The only unpleasant part was some guest have no manners and some parents let their kids run wild.
Definitely needs more parking but the other than that was decent place enough for everyone to do. The prices are astronomical so order in if you can. Also I will say for the a hot tub in here would be great with no kids allowed. Iโm telling you I would the first and last one in there. Itโs fun and has a lot of interactive activities and games. Go during slow season more worth the money especially paying food prices and towels. Find it to be a friendly and welcoming environment.
Highly recommend !!!! We got the queen/ bunk room which has a queen bed, a full pull out couch and a twin bunk. Very spacious for my family of 5. The kids had an amazing time from the second we entered the premises. They have something fun for every age group with the daily activities. So many local stores near by (Walmart, dollar tree, Samโs club etc.) Mall of America is also less than 10 minutes away. The price was a little up there but itโs worth every smile from my kids and definitely cheaper than Disney universal.
