The Grandstand is one of the most iconic outdoor concert venues in the Midwest, with a capacity of more than 8,000. Grandstand seats are included with State Fair admission. Plan to arrive early — the fairgrounds open well before showtime, and there is plenty to eat and explore before the concert begins.
Bloomington is a natural home base for the trip. Take the Metro Transit State Fair Express bus directly from Bloomington to the fairgrounds — no driving, no parking. The Park & Ride is located at the 30th Avenue station at the corner of 30th Avenue and 82nd Street in Bloomington.
