Mark Labine will discuss his research into the Little Rapids fur trade post on the Minnesota River near present-day Carver. During the 18th and 19th centuries the post operated near the Dakota village of Inyan Ceyaka, “the Barrier of Stone.” Mark Labine is a descendant of early voyageurs and fur traders and a board member of the French-American Heritage Foundation.
