The month of August cools down each year to the smooth sounds of the annual Bloomington Jazz Festival. This year’s festival will be hosted from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2012 at the Normandale Lake Bandshell. Spend the weekend shopping and taking in the sites such as the Mall of America® before relaxing to jumping and jiving Jazz!

The Bloomington Jazz Fest is an exciting mix of local and nationally acclaimed artists. In recent years the lineup has included local favorites such as the Rum River Brass Band and the swinging sensation that is Vic Volare and the Volare Lounge Orchestra. The Wolverines Big Band, who’s claim to fame has been to open for legendary performer Sarah Vaughan and Jimmy Carter’s Inaugural Ball, has also graced the Bloomington Jazz Festival MN stage.

The Bloomington Jazz Festival in MN is FREE to the public.
