Sheraton Bloomington Hotel

Making an annual shopping pilgrimage to the Twin Cities can be saddled with decisions, but one that is always easy to make is where to stay. Bloomington and its central location is hands-down a favorite with over 40 hotels to chose from, and several—like the Sheraton Bloomington Hotel, which just completed an extensive 15 million dollar renovation.

The new lobby at the Sheraton is more akin to the nearby Weisman Art Museum than a traditional hotel check-in spot, thanks to a truly beautiful, large-scale art piece hanging above the illuminated registration desks. And the nearby 30-foot bar featuring a 10-screen video display is more in line with local hot dining spot Eat Street Social, than a hotel lounge.

The 282 rooms were equally appealing—beautifully modern, yet highly functional furnishings, LED lighting and large-screen Smart TVs. The new Sheraton Club lounge surpasses all others with enhanced perks and the new Sheraton Fitness facility rivals most mainstream clubs.

LelaLela. Ignite your senses. Delight your palate. Upon arriving in Bloomington, many simply drop their bags and head straight out to Mall of America, grabbing dinner at one of its 50-plus restaurants. Not at the Sheraton – many are eager to try Lela, the Top 10 "Best New Restaurant" adjacent, yet attached to the Sheraton. “Wow” is a common review! Like the rest of the premises, the menus are on-trend, divided into three sections: steak, in a variety of sizes and cuts; crudo, but not sushi; and pasta, prepared daily onsite. Regardless of category, all items were tailored to suit small appetites as well as shared plates.
