This May, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® 2008 will bring together competitive runners, wheelchair athletes, walkers and breast cancer survivors. By running, walking or rolling in the Race for the Cure 2008, all will help raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. Minnesota’s top tourist attraction, the Mall of America, will host the Race for the Cure.

Participants in the Twin Cities Race for the Cure may choose from three “races”: a 5K timed run, a 5K noncompetitive walk and a 1K untimed walk inside the Mall of America. Youngsters participating in the Race for the Cure 2008 may enjoy a Kids for the Cure® FUN RUN, where all finishers will receive a medal. The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure will also include a celebration for breast cancer survivors.

Participants may register online, by mail or in person. Deadline for online registration is May 6, 2008. Mailed-in registration forms must be postmarked no later than May 2, 2008.

The 2008 Susan G. Komen Twin Cities Race for the Cure® will be held at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota. The Mall of America is located near the intersection of Interstate 494 and Highway 77, just 15 minutes away from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul.
