PLANNING A SUCCESSFUL EVENT
Minnesota Sports Starts In Bloomington
It would be hard to find a more ideal location for a sporting event than Bloomington, Minnesota. Not only is the city centrally located within one of the top metropolitan areas in the United States, it's also located just minutes from downtown Minneapolis, Saint Paul and next to the International Airport. We are less than 1½ hours by air from anywhere in the Midwest and within 3½ hours by air from any American city. By car, we are within a day’s drive of over 40 million people. We invite you to see how we can help make your event hassle-free and memorable.
Passionate For Sports
Cheer all year in one of the few metro areas to have all major professional sports teams represented. In the “State of Hockey”, 18,000 loyal fans pack the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul to cheer on the Minnesota Wild. The Metrodome, connected to Bloomington via Light Rail, is home to the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. Come 2010, the Twins will be moving into the new Target Field on the other side of downtown Minneapolis. The Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx tear up the courts at Target Center each season, and there is always Big Ten action at the University of Minnesota. With many other minor league and amateur sports action, the Twin Cities and Bloomington are definitely a sports-focused destination.
Minnesota has a proud tradition of successful sports stars. Chances are you have heard of a few of our hometown heroes.
