At fewer than 300 acres, Interstate State Park is a small park. But don’t let its size fool you. Interstate State Park has plenty of outdoor adventures to offer visitors from the Bloomington/Twin Cities area.
Interstate Stae Park is one of only four state parks where rock climbing is available. Minnesota is known for its distinctive geology. Not only does the park feature glacial potholes, cliffs and dalles, it boasts a minimum of 10 lava flows, the result of ancient earthquakes.
Water sports at Interstate State Park include fishing, canoeing, kayaking and boating on the St. Croix River. Other outdoor activities available at the park are birding, hiking and camping. Visitors to Interstate State Park may also enjoy spring wildflowers and fall colors.

Interstate State Park is located 45 miles northeast of the Twin Cities. True to its name, the park spans the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.
