The Minnesota Children's Museum invites youngsters of all ages to explore the world around them. With its seven different galleries, the Minnesota Children's Museum engages children and their imaginations in a variety of ways. At the World Works gallery, visitors to the Minnesota Children's Museum may experiment with real-world problems, such as determining the most efficient way to move packages with the help of inclined planes and conveyor belts.

In Our World, children get to do the work of grown-ups, such as delivering mail or preparing a meal. While visiting the Earth World gallery at the Minnesota Children's Museum, youngsters may explore three different types of habitats found in Minnesota: forests, prairies and wetlands.

The youngest visitors to the Minnesota Children's Museum, those aged six months to four years, will enjoy the Habitat gallery, where they, too, can explore the habitats of Minnesota. Each May through September, the Rooftop ArtPark beckons youngsters to take the museum experience outdoors, where they can climb a tree fort, make sand sculptures and enjoy the warmer weather. One of the largest children's museums in the U.S., the Minnesota Children's Museum also hosts special programs, birthday parties, summer camps, workshops and field trips.

Tuesday-Thursday & Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
Monday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (Memorial Day through Labor Day)
Closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Holiday hours apply on Dec. 20, 27 and 31 and on Jan. 1.
