Interstate State Park

At fewer than 300 acres, Interstate State Park is a small park. But don’t let its size fool you. Interstate State Park has plenty of outdoor adventure to offer visitors from the Bloomington/Twin Cities area.

One of only four state parks where rock climbing is available, Interstate State Park, Minnesota is known for its distinctive geology. Not only does the park feature glacial potholes, cliffs and dalles, it boasts a minimum of 10 lava flows, the result of ancient earthquakes.

Water sports at Interstate State Park include fishing, canoeing, kayaking and boating on the St. Croix River. Among the other outdoor activities available at the park are birding, hiking and camping. Visitors to Interstate State Park may also enjoy spring wildflowers and fall colors.
